Section (No Widget) Template | Communifire Documentation

You can create a template for the Section Widget that doesn't affect the styling of nested widgets. With the Section (No Widget) template, you can nest Content List Widgets , People Widgets , Navigation Widgets , etc in a Section widget.

Example Section widget with nested Rich Text Widget and Content List Widget :

Add Template

1. Click the gear icon > Page Builder > Templates.
2. Click Add a new template.
3. Enter Section (No Widget) as the Template name.
4. In Widget Type, select Section.
5. In the editor, paste the following code.
   

   <div class="{{CustomCSSClass}}">
   {{#if ShowWidgetHeader}}<h2>{{WidgetTitle}}</h2>{{/if}}
   {{{Contents.ChildWidgetHTML}}} 
   </div>

6. Click Save Template.

How to Use the Template

1. Add or edit a Page Builder page in Control Panel > System > Page Builder.
2. Click the Layouts tab and add a layout onto the page.
3. Click the Widgets tab.
4. Drag a Section widget onto the page. 
5. On the Section widget, click the gear icon > Edit properties.
6. Update the widget Title.
7. Click Template.
8. Select the Section (No Widget) template.
9. Click Save Widget.
10. Add other widgets into the section widget and configure them.
11. Click Publish changes.
12. Click Go to page.
