Table of Contents

Use the people widget to display users in a neat component. Below are the types of widgets available for the people widget.

People List

Use the people list to feature users. You can filter by space, status, featured, visibility, isolation, or name.

Properties

Property Description
Title The widget title appears at the top of the widget
Total items Max number of people to display
Direct reports Check to display the user's direct reports (Only available when you edit the User Profile page in Control Panel > People > User Profiles and add a People widget)
People in this space The Space or Persona to display people from
Sort by First name
Last name
Date joined
Points
Username

Ascending
Descending
Status All: All users
Activated: Only active users
Deactivated: Only deactivated users
Banned: Only banned users
Featured All: All people
Yes: Featured people only
No: Non-featured people only
Profile Visibility All: All users
Public: Users whose profiles are public
Is Isolated All: All users
Yes: Only isolated users
No: Only non-isolated users

Templates

Featured Users Template

The Featured Users template displays people and job titles.

New People Template

The New People template displays a list of new users.

People Grid Template

The People Grid template displays users with just their profile photos.

Users List with Title-Departments Template

The Users List with Title-Departments template displays a list of people with departments and job titles.

New Hire Widget

The New Hire Widget displays users according to hire date

Top People List

Showcase the most active users in your community and encourage further activity. You can view the most active users of

  • All Time
  • Last 30 Days
  • This Week
  • Today

Property Description
Title The widget title appears at the top of the widget
Total items Max number of people to display
Sort by

Points
Recognition count
Number of recent recognitions to show The number of most recent badges to display
Show recognition count Check to display how many badges the user has
People in this space The space to display users from
Recognition Program The recognition program to display top users from
Default tab Which tab of the top people list to display when the page loads
Profile visibility All: All users
Public: Users whose profiles are public

The Top User List template displays a leaderboard.

The Top User List - With Badges template displays a leaderboard and badges.

Upcoming Anniversaries & Birthdays

Highlight users with upcoming birthdays or anniversaries.

Properties

Property Description
Title The widget title appears at the top of the widget
Fields Date fields to include in the widget.
Click +1 to add a new date field, then select the field in the dropdown menu that appears below.
Total items Max number of people to display
Days in advance Number of days from today to include birthdays and anniversaries for
People in this space The space to display people from
Featured All: All people
Yes: Featured people only
No: Non-featured people only
Profile Visibility All: All users
Public: Users whose profiles are public
Is Isolated All: All users
Yes: Only isolated users
No: Only non-isolated user

Templates

Birthdays and Anniversaries Template

The Birthdays and Anniversaries template lists upcoming birthdays and work anniversaries.

Selected People

Display list of selected users.

Property Description
Title The widget title appears at the top of the widget
People Users selected to be shown
Logged in user Check to show only logged in user
Logged in user Check to show user's Reports To user

People Directory

Display a directory of people.

Properties

Title The widget title appears at the top of the widget
Total items Max number of people to display
People in this space The space to display people from

First name
Last name
Display name

Profile Visibility All: All users
Public: Users whose profiles are public
Featured All: All people
Yes: Featured people only
Custom Filters Profile field values to filter the directory by. Click +1 to add a profile field and value.
Note: Custom filters are applied with an "and" relationship. Only users who meet all the custom filters will appear in the People widget.

The People Directory - List template displays people, work information, and location.

Awarded List

Note: This template is only available on the Edit Badge Detail page.

Title The widget title appears at the top of the widget

Templates

Badge Receivers Avatar List Template

The Badge Receivers Avatar List template displays a list of people who have earned a specific badge.

Advanced

Field Description
Icon Select an icon to display with the widget (Requires a template that uses {{IconCSSClass}})
Custom CSS class A CSS class to append to the widget
Show Header Check to show the widget's header, which includes the title
Show Footer Check to show the widget's footer
Hide Container Border Check to hide the widget's border
Name char length The number of characters in user's names to display before appending "..."
Search text Filters users whose names match or partially match the search text. Use * for a wildcard search.

Roles

Choose the roles that can view this widget.

How to Exclude Users from the People Widget

If you need to exclude certain users, like space administrators, placeholder accounts, or external partners, from the People widget of a space, you can set the users as space managers. See Set Space Managers.
