Is the above list of file types that can be uploaded correct? I just tried to upload a mov file in Communifire 6 and received a message that "Only mp4, webm, ogg, ogv are allowed." I uploaded an mp4 file, and the video was sized too large.
Go to Control Panel > System > System Properties and search for AllowedFileTypesToBeUploaded. Add mov to the CSV list. In Control Panel > Content > Video > Video Settings , you can set the maximum file size for videos.
Thanks, Grace. I updated the default settings to include mov and now receive the following player error: "No compatible source was found for this media." and a black screen.
Try pressing Ctrl + Shift + R.
I pressed it many times. The player is broken.
This appears to be a bug. I've created a case with our development team to look into it. We'll contact you once a fix is available. As a workaround, you can upload the video to YouTube and share it in Communifire using the URL.
This is a pretty significant bug. Are we talking weeks or months until a fix?
Feel free to remove or move my posts after I hear back on the time line.
Also, the "Content width (px)" video setting changed the width of the mov video player (although it doesn't work) but has no effect on the mp4 video player.
The content width setting is for the embed code on the video page.
Is there a way to see stats on how many users have downloaded a video?
Hey Ammie, there aren't any stats to see how many people have downloaded a video, only for viewing the video.
