Personas

Personas allow Axero admins to create dynamic user groups to target communications, set up automation tasks, and connect your workforce to the people and information they need for ultimate productivity. As a bonus, you'll increase and expedite user adoption, and improve your end-user experience.

To create personas that meet the needs of your company, work with your fellow community admins and intranet stakeholders to understand information about your user types, then draft, review, and finalize a personas list before setting them up in your Axero intranet. Consider user job roles, communication needs, regions, work location i.e. in-office, at home, or hybrid, frequently used features and patterns within user intranet use. 

Creating a persona

1. Set the System Property PersonasEnabled to true
   

   

2. Navigate to the Control panel > People > Manage People > Personas
   
   

   

   
   
   

3. Click Create Persona
   
   

4. The next screen will show a form to fill.
   1. Give your persona a name - Each persona name must be unique
   2. Toggle Is Active to activate the persona
      

Creating a Simple Persona

A simple Persona with only one one condition.

Navigate to the Conditions tab and enter an operation which includes:

1. A field from the  User Profile Fields 
2. An operator, which may be Equals, Does not equal, Contains, Doesn't contain, Begins with, or Ends with depending on the field type in the user profile page. 
   
3. The matched value

Once the required selections are complete, the list of users matching the selected user profile field will be displayed under Matched People. In this example, 14 users in this community matched the City Equals San Diego condition.

Creating a Multiple Condition Persona

Conditions can be added to your Persona to further refine the selection. Additional conditions can restrict the match using AND, or broaden the match using OR. 

See examples below: 

1. To further target the users within a specific city to identify the users within specific Department and Industries, Two conditions using AND can be added. This reduces the Persona to 1 user in the Matched People:
   

   

2. To broaden a Persona to identify users across multiple Cities, another City condition field can be added. This would increase my Persona by 1 user to 15 users in the Matched People:
   

   

Conditions can be deleted by clicking the minus icon

Creating a Multiple Condition Group Persona

Adding another group can target within a specific condition group but broadening across another group.

1. To add another group, click Add Group
   
2. Determine AND or OR between the condition groups:
   

   

3. Add conditions in the new group. Note, Matched People will go to 0, until the second group is added 

In the example below, the persona includes users within the Finance or Human Resources Department that are in California and Coordinators:

To delete a condition group, click the X icon:

Managing Personas

Deactivate a persona

1. Click the Edit icon in the persona list 
   
   
   
2. On the edit persona page toggle Is Active to off
3. Click Save
   
   

Edit a saved persona

1. Click the Edit icon

   

2. Edit any of the fields and click Save to update the template
   
   

Delete a saved persona

1. To delete a saved persona, click the Bin icon
   

   

Sorting and Filtering Personas

You can easily find personas by applying sorting and filtering options.

You can sort personas by: 

• Name (Default)
• Date Created 
• Date Updated

Find Personas by applying these filters:

• Search by Name: Find personas based on their names.  
• Search by Person: Find all the personas that are created or last updated by a specific person. 
• Filter by Space: Use Space filters to narrow down personas linked to a specific space.
