User Section Permissions

User section permissions control who can manage users and user-related features in the Control Panel.

Permission Description
Create Allow the user to add a user
View User Profile Allow the user to view user profiles
Edit Allow the user to edit their profile
Moderate Allow the user to manage pending users, banned users, and banned IPs
Send Bulk Email Allow the user to send mass emails (Using Mass Email or Send Email )
Roles Allow the user to manage roles, assign roles, and manage Getting Started Steps 
Ranks Allow the user to edit point levels
Manage Profiles Allow the user to manage the pages and areas in Control Panel > People > User Profiles 
Points Allow the user to edit points and Set User Points 
Invite People Allow the user to invite people
Delete Self Allow the user to delete their own profile
Feature Allow the user to mark users as featured
User Section View

Allow the user to view the Manage People section.
This permission also allows people to:

  • Change their username
  • View private profiles
Update All People Allow the user to edit any profiles and any user's preferences
Delete All People Allow the user to delete any users
Message All Allow the user to Chat with anyone, regardless of their personal messaging preferences (part of "Admin only" group)
Manage Permissions Allow the user to edit user section permissions
Log In As User Allow the user to log in as another user

Setting User Section Permissions

  1. Click the gear icon > Manage People > User Section Permissions.
  2. Check or uncheck permissions.
  3. Click Save.
