Button Widget

Use the button widget to link to internal or external pages, space content pages, specific content, create content pages, personal pages, or run Javascript code.

Properties

Button text The text on the button
Button type

  • Save - Saves the registration form (Only available on user profile pages)
  • Login via SAML - Opens the SAML login page (Only available on user profile pages)
  • Recognition (Only available on recognition pages)
Open in new tab Check to open the page in a new tab
Show pending count Check to show the number of pending items
Note: Only available for the Personal type - Connections, Required Reading, and Workflow

Additional Properties

Button type Properties
URL URL - The page the button links to
Content List Space - The space to link to
Content type - The content in the space to link to
Content Content - Search for content
Create Space - The space to create content in. Select Not Specified to open the select space modal.
Content type - The content type to create
Personal Type - The personal page (e.g. my Activity Stream, Bookmarks, Calendar, etc)
Javascript Javascript - Code to run

Templates

Block Navigation List Item Template 

The Block Navigation List Item template displays a link in a vertical block design.

Button Template 

The Button template displays a link as a button.

Default Unordered List Template 

The Default Unordered List template displays links in a list.

Hyperlink Template 

The Hyperlink template displays a link as a blue link.

Image Link Template 

The Image Link template displays a link as an image.

Launch Pad 1 List Item Template 

The Launch Pad 1 List Item template displays a link with an image.

Nav - Banner Navigation Item Template 

The Nav - Banner Navigation Item template displays a link with an image to the left.

Nav - Icon Blocks Item Template 

The Nav - Icon Blocks Item template displays a link with an icon.

Nav - Image Blocks Item Template 

The Nav - Image Blocks Item template displays a link with an image to the left.

Tab Template 

The Tab template displays a link as a tab.

Zeppelin Header - Block Item Template 

The Zeppelin Header - Block Item template displays a link as an icon.

Advanced

Field Description
Icon Select an icon to display with the widget (Requires a template that uses {{IconCSSClass}})
Custom CSS class A CSS class to append to the widget
Load into current page Check to load the Page Builder page in the current page (See How to Create a Multi-Page Page Builder Page )
Note: Only available when a Page Builder page is selected
Current page load location class CSS class that identifies the display window
Note: Only available when a Page Builder page is selected
Show button text Check to display the widget title as the button text
Ignore Permissions Check to ignore permissions
Note: Only available when a Page Builder page is selected
Current logo Check to save the uploaded image as the site logo
Note: Only available when a foreground image or background image is uploaded
Use logged in user's avatar as foreground image Check to use the user's avatar as the foreground image
Note: Requires a template that uses {{Contents.ForegroundImageURL}}
Use logged in user's first name as widget title Check to display the user's first name as the navigation item text
Foreground image Upload an image to use as the foreground image
Note: Requires a template that uses {{Contents.ForegroundImageURL}}
Background image Upload an image to use as the background image
Note: Requires a template that uses {{Contents.BackgroundImageURL}}
