A public space is a publicly listed and publicly searchable space in the community. Non-members can find and view a public space and its content.

A public space can be found in Browse Spaces and in Search .
Anyone can join a public space. Users can join the space by invitation or by clicking Join. If space membership is moderated, the user's request to join must be approved by a member of the space.

You can make certain content inaccessible to non-members by unchecking the Guest View permission for each Content Types in .

Once the Guest View permission for a certain content type is unchecked, publications of that content type will be inaccessible and unsearchable by non-members.
When you convert a public space to a private space, the space no longer appears in Browse Spaces or in Search. All Guest permissions for all content types are also cleared automatically when you convert the space. You can manually configure Guest permissions for each Content Types in .
