Space List Widget

Use the Space List widget to showcase all the spaces in your community or to highlight certain spaces. You can filter spaces by visibility, parent space, and featured, and you can sort them by most recent or by title.

Properties

Property Description
Title The widget title appears at the top of the widget
Sort by
  • Most recent by created date
  • Title
Sort order:
  • Ascending
  • Descending
Space visibility
  • All: All spaces
  • Private: Only spaces set to private
  • Public: Only spaces set to public
Parent space Select a parent space to show its sub spaces.
Warning: If you have heavily nested spaces (i.e. a space nested inside a public space nested in a private space), choosing a parent space could expose spaces someone does not have access to view. Be careful what pages you expose spaces on.
Featured
  • All: Featured and non-featured spaces
  • Yes: Featured spaces only
  • No: Non-featured spaces only
User spaces Check to only display spaces the logged in user is a member of
Nested spaces Check to align sub spaces under their parent space
Total items Max number of spaces to display
Title char length The number of characters in the space's title to display before appending "..."
Summary char length The number of characters in the space's summary to display before appending "..."
Excluded spaces Select spaces to exclude from the widget

Templates

Nested Spaces List Template 

The Nested Spaces List template displays spaces and sub spaces. Sub spaces are nested below their parent space.

Searchable Space List Template 

The Searchable Space List template displays a list of spaces with a search bar.

Stacked List Template (Space List) 

The Stacked List template for the Space List Widget displays spaces with the space image to the left and details to the right.

Advanced

Field Description
Icon Select an icon to display with the widget (Requires a template that uses {{IconCSSClass}})
Custom CSS class A CSS class to append to the widget
Show Header Check to show the widget's header, which includes the title
Show Footer Check to show the widget's footer
Hide Container Border Check to hide the widget's border
Ignore Permissions Check to see a full list of all spaces and sub-spaces nested.
