Manage Space: Add Workflow | Communifire Documentation

A workflow consists of a series of moderation steps where the content must be approved before it gets published. Each step is based on a user role. Before the content becomes active, a person with the required role must approve the content. Add workflow to define the moderation steps that content must go through before it gets published.

To add workflow:

1. From the space, click Manage Space > Workflow > Workflow Definitions.
2. Click Add Workflow.
3. Select the content type the workflow is for.
   • For discussions: Check Default workflow to make this the default workflow for new forums.
4. Enter a name for the workflow. The name is for administrative purposes.
5. Enter a description of the workflow. The description is for administrative purposes. (Optional)
6. Check Activate this workflow to enable the workflow.
7. Add steps to the workflow: 
   • Click Add Workflow Step.
   • Select a role to complete the workflow step.
   • Enter a name for the workflow step.
   • Enter a description of the workflow step. (Optional)
   • Click Save.
8. Click Save.
