Google Drive Integration | Communifire Documentation

To configure the Google App follow these steps:

1. Visit the Google Developers Console
2. Create a new project for your intranet if necessary:
   1. Click the project dropdown menu in the header.
   2. In the modal that opens, click New Project.
   3. Enter a name for the project.
   4. Click Create.
3. On the APIs & Services page, click Enable APIs and Services.
4. Search for and enable the following APIs:
   • Google Drive API
   • Google Docs API
   • Google Sheets API
   • Google Slides API
5. Click the hamburger menu icon in the left upper corner to open the side menu.
6. Click APIs & Services > OAuth consent screen.
7. Select a user type to set which users can use your app.
   Note: If you select External, you must submit your app to Google for verification. Your app will display a security warning page until your app is verified. Refer to this page.
8. Click Create.
9. Enter an App name.
10. Select the User support email.
11. Upload an App logo. (Optional)
12. In Application Homepage link, enter your site URL.
13. In Authorized domains, add the domain of your site. Do not enter the full site URL. For example, the domain for https://myintranet.communifire.com is communifire.com.
14. Enter an email address in Developer contact information.
15. Click Save and continue.
16. Click Add or remove scopes.
17. In the side modal that opens, search for drive.
18. Check ../auth/drive and ../auth/drive.metadata.
19. Click Update.
20. Click Save and continue.
21. In the left menu, click Credentials.
22. Click Create credentials.
23. Click OAuth client ID.
24. Select Web application.
25. Enter a Name.
26. Under Authorized redirect URIs, click Add URI.
27. In Authorized redirect URIs, enter your site URL followed by /oauth2/google/integrations/callback
    (e.g. https://mycommunity.com/oauth2/google/integrations/callback or https://mycommunity.communifire.com/oauth2/google/integrations/callback)
28. Click Create.
29. A modal will open with the client ID and client secret. Copy the client ID and client secret and save them for later.

To add the Google App in Communifire, follow these steps:

1. In Communifire, go to Control Panel > System > Integrations.
   
   
2. Click Connect.
3. Paste the client ID and client Secret.
   
   
4. Set where users can connect to Google Drive from:
• Available in top level community: Users can connect to Google Drive in Browse > Files. (Note: If enabled, files must be set to On in Control Panel > System > Application Settings.)
• Available in spaces: Space admins can add Google Drive in any space. Once enabled in the space, users will be able to connect to Google Drive.
• Available in Personal Connect: Users can connect to their Personal Files in My Files .
5. Click Save Settings.

When TLC files are enabled, individuals granted permissions to add folders there will also be able to include integrated Google Drives into the Top Level Community directories. This simplifies the process of adding drives and promotes smoother collaboration within your community. 

1. Go to Control Panel > System > Integrations.
2. Choose Google, then click the Manage option.
3. Enable Google Drives for TLC by switching the toggle button.
   
   
4. Click Save Settings.

In the TLC file directory settings, each individual has an option to display specific drives to all members, based on their access to those drives.

1. Go to Content > Files.
2. Click on Add External Drives.
3. Connect with your Google account. (if not already connected)
4. Choose the drives you want to display to all people. 
5. Click Save Settings.
6. All individuals granted access to the linked drives will find them readily available for immediate use.

Space Administrators can determine which integrations are available within their respective spaces. This feature allows them to enable or disable specific integrations, customizing the working environment to suit the unique needs of each space.

1. Choose the specific space where you want to enable Google Drive.
2. Click on Manage Space > Integrations.
3. Switch the toggle button to connect or disconnect to Google. Any modifications will be saved automatically.

Within the file directory settings, people can choose which drives are displayed to all individuals within a specific space, provided they have access to those drives. This enables people to optimize their workspace, ensuring that only the most relevant drives are shown, improving the collaboration and information accessibility.

1. Choose a specific space where you want to display Google Drive. 
2. Go to Files.
3. Click on Add External Drives.
4. Connect with your Google account. (if not already connected)
5. Choose the drives you want to display to all users. 
6. Click Save Settings.
7. All users with access to the linked drives will immediately see them in the space.

People have the option to add My Drive to Personal Files to their private files section. For the personal file directories view to be available, an admin must first enable the ShowNewMyAccountFilesView system property.

1. Go to Control Panel > System > System Properties and set ShowNewMyAccountFilesView to enabled.
2. From your account activity find the My Content area, and the personal Files underneath.
   
   
3. Click on Add External Drives.
4. Click on My Drive.
5. Enter a Display name for your drive.
6. Files will be synced automatically on adding drive.
7. To disconnect your Google My Drive, click on the gear icon and select Disconnect.

Each individual has control over their integration accounts. They can add or remove access for different integrations on the site, if they need to remove authorization for Communifire to access their account. 

1. From your account activity go to Integrations.
2. Choose the integration you want to remove. 
3. Click on the trash bin icon. 
4. Once confirmed, the authorization will be removed from your profile.
