Manage Space: Event Email Settings | Communifire Documentation

Add an event email server to send event invitations and receive event RSVPs using a specific email account. If there is no event email server, then event invitations will be sent with the site email server and Communifire will not scan for RSVPs sent by email. People will need to RSVP from the site.

1. From the space, click Manage Space > Events > Email Settings.
2. Fill out the following information:
   • Send event invites and scan for replies with this account: Check this to allow people to reply to event invites via email. (Check this after entering the email address.)
   • Email address
   • Friendly name: This name will appear as the sender of the invite.
   • Include calendar view in emails so external invitees can RSVP in their email client directly: Check this to allow external invitees to RSVP to the event using their email client.
     Note: This is not recommended for Gmail server accounts.
   • Use server settings (without username and password) as sitewide default: Check this to use the server settings as default values throughout the site.
   • SMTP settings: SMTP server, SMTP username, SMTP password, SMTP port, Use SSL
     You can get SMTP settings from your email provider.
   • Incoming Mail Server Settings: Incoming mail server type, Incoming mail server, Username, Password, Port, Use SSL
     You can get these settings from your email provider.
3. Click Save.
