Dynamic Properties can be used to add content in places throughout a space. Dynamic Properties can also be used to send notifications to everyone in a space and to provide templates for the rich editor.
Another use case for on-premise clients is to use Dynamic Properties when you extend the Communifire platform and create your own functionality. In this case, if you have customization settings for your custom software, you can store and access these in the platform database. To extend the platform and add Dynamic Properties in non-Page Builder pages, you must have developers on staff and update the backend code. It's important to note developers will have to reapply Dynamic Properties to backend code files after each upgrade since all application files are overwritten.

Use dynamic properties to create document templates to be used in the rich text editor. This allows your site administrator or space administrators to create HTML templates that users can select from a dropdown and insert into the editor. If you create a lot of documents using a uniform layout, this saves you time and effort by creating a standard HTML layout for your template.

The Announcement dynamic property displays a yellow "Announcement" banner at the top of all pages in the space (excluding Page Builder pages and the Calendar page).
Using an Announcement dynamic property, you can also send a notification to space members. See Manage Space: Add Dynamic Properties for more information about how to configure and send an announcement.

Are there any plans to extend built-in dynamic properties to other applications? It would be really useful to easily add them to the top/bottom of Files, Events, People etc.
Thanks for the suggestion. Could you please post this in the Suggestions and Feedback Forums as this is where this will get the best visibility. These forums are seen by our development team when deciding what new features to add to Communifire.
