Idea Permissions

Idea permissions control who can see, create, and manage ideas.

Setting Idea Permissions

  1. From the space, click Manage Space > Permissions.
  2. In the dropdown menu, select Idea.
  3. Check or uncheck permissions.
  4. Click Save Changes.

Idea Permissions

Permission Description
Create Allow the user to create ideas
View Allow the user to view ideas
Edit Allow the user to edit their ideas
Delete Allow the user to delete their ideas
Upload Attachments Allow the user to attach files to their ideas
Feature Allow the user to mark ideas as featured
Admin View Allow the user to access the Manage Space area for this content
Update All Ideas Allow the user to edit any ideas
Delete All Ideas Allow the user to delete any ideas
Manage Permissions Allow the user to edit permissions for this content type
Note: Space administrators and site administrators can edit any permissions, whether they have this permission or not.
Must Read Require the user to read ideas marked as required reading and includes the user in the content read report
Mark As Required Reading Allow the user to mark ideas as required reading
View Report Allow the user to see who has viewed required ideas, and confirmed or not yet confirmed
Undo Content Read Allow the user to undo another user's read confirmation
