Set Space Managers | Communifire Documentation

You can set specific users as space managers to exclude them from certain areas of a space. Space managers are excluded from the following places:

• The Space People page
• A Top People List People Widget for the space
• Recognition activity on the Space Activity Stream 
• People Statistics recognition analytics for the space

Submit a private case to request the SpaceManagers system property to be added to your site.

How to get space IDs

To get a space's ID, visit the space and copy the ID from the URL. The ID is the first number in the URL.

How to get user IDs

To get user IDs, go to Control Panel > People > Manage People. Manage People includes a column for ID. You can search for people by name or role.

Set Space Managers

Search for SpaceManagers.

Enter a value, using one of the formats below.

• To set users as space managers in every space, enter a comma-separated list of user IDs. (For example: 45,3,14 )
• To set users as space managers in certain spaces, use the format

  SpaceID: UserIDCSV , and place each space list on a separate line.
  Example:

  12: 45,3
  252: 15,29
  13: 17,21

After saving the dynamic property, restart the site:

1. In the Control Panel, click System > Advanced System Utilities.
2. Click Restart Site.
