Our Space Analytics report has been crafted to offer you valuable insights into the performance of different spaces within your platform. Through this report, you'll gain a comprehensive overview of spaces and their dynamics, enabling you to identify trends and compare their performance across different timeframes. Our Space Analytics report includes two subsections:

1. Overview: Provides you with a snapshot view of your spaces and provides you with a breakdown by space.
2. Space Engagement: Identify trend for how different spaces are performing, comparing timeframes.

Example uses

• Are our spaces being maintained and kept fresh with new content?
• Is our new Space management strategy having an impact?

Overview

The Overview subsection is composed of two components: an upper table that offers a collective overview of your spaces, followed by a lower table presenting specific metrics for each individual space. These components collectively provide a comprehensive snapshot of the space's key metrics and data, offering users valuable insights at a glance.

In the top section, you'll find metric tiles that provide an improved overview of your spaces. These tiles offer a quick glimpse into the performance of your spaces, giving you immediate insights into the key metrics. See a current snapshot of all of your spaces, including:

• Total Spaces: Total number of spaces on the site.
• Deactivated: Total deactivated spaces on the site.
• Public: Total public spaces on the site.
• Private: Total private spaces on the site. 

A table at the bottom of the page provides in-depth metrics for each individual space. The spaces are arranged by Space Name by default, but you can modify this order by clicking on the header of any column to get spaces ranked by different metrics. These metrics include:

• Date: The date the space was created.
• Visibility: Indicates whether the space is private or public.
• Members: Total count of members within each space.
• Content types: The number of each content type posted within the space: albums, discussions, forums, blogs, articles, and so on. 

Filtering

You have the option to filter spaces based on their Visibility (private or public), or you can utilize the Search option to find a specific space.

Download

You have the option to download the report displayed on the screen as a CSV file. The downloaded file will reflect the applied filters, ensuring the information remains consistent with your analysis.

Space Engagement

This subsection is composed of two components: a chart positioned at the top and a table beneath it. The chart visually displays space views, offering versatility through filtering according to your analysis requirements. You can choose a timeframe to adjust the dates shown in the chart with an automatic comparison to its previous period. You have the flexibility to arrange data by Space and Interval (day, week, month, quarter or year). This feature-rich chart empowers you to gain tailored insights into space engagement trends.

In the table positioned below the chart visualization, you will find a comprehensive list of your spaces that have received a minimum of one view within the timeframe you've selected. This listing offers insight into the spaces that have captured engagement during the specified period.

Sorting

The spaces are arranged by Space Name by default, but you can modify this order by clicking on the header of any column to get spaces ranked by different metrics. Explore aggregated metrics by space over the selected timeframe:

• Last user activity: The most recent user engagement within the space.
• Last published content : The date when the content was last published within the space.
• Status : Status of the space, whether it is private or public.
• Views: Number of times any page was viewed in that space in the selected timeframe
• Content Views: Number of time content detail pages were viewed in that space over the selected timeframe.
• Unique Viewers: Number of people that viewed at least one piece of content in that space.

Filtering

You have the option to filter by the Visibility of the Space (private or public), or you can utilize the Search option to find a specific space.

Timeframe

You have the ability to choose the specific timeframe you wish to analyze. By default, the system is set at Last 30 Days, but you have the flexibility to opt for a day, an entire month, the past 12 months, or even set a custom range according to your needs.

Download

You have the option to download the report displayed on the screen as a CSV file. The downloaded file will reflect the applied filters, ensuring the information remains consistent with your analysis.

Recommendations

To optimize your content strategy and enhance engagement on your platform, the following recommendations provide actionable insights to monitor, improve, and manage your online presence:

Review Trending Views
Regularly review the trending views for your overall site. If you begin to see views change outside of expectations, consider if your content creators have adjusted their content strategy, frequency or if there has been a change in our user base.

Enhance Space Engagement
When you are aiming to boost engagement within a specific space, select the space and choose the timeframe after your content strategy adjustment. Compare view counts before and after the alteration to see if your strategy is having the effect desired.

Monitor Last Published Content
Filter spaces based on Last published content to identify spaces where fresh content isn't being added regularly. If you have content that may change over time, such as product documentation that needs updating, consider updating the Published date so you can track and manage how much content is being updated on a regular basis. This practice enables effective tracking and management of content updates.
