Wordpress Blog Migration | Communifire Documentation

Axero offers blog migration from Wordpress to Communifire. Once you populate your Wordpress blogs into Communifire, you'll be able to view, search for, and interact with your Wordpress blogs in Communifire. The following information is imported:

• Title
• Publication date
• Author — Matched to a user in Communifire using the email address in the backup file.
• Content (Body)
• Tags
• Child categories are imported as tags in the format parent-category-name-child-category-name
• Featured images

Step 1: Export Wordpress Content

1. In Wordpress, open the admin dashboard for the blog.
2. In the left menu, click Tools > Export.
3. Click Export All.
4. Click Download and save the file. Attach the file when you submit the migration request.

Step 2: Submit a Migration Request

Submit a private case here. Please provide the following information in the case:

• Default author: The email address of the Communifire user who should be assigned as the author if the blog author is not a user in Communifire.
• Space: The name of the space to publish the blogs in.
• Wordpress backup file
