Add User Profile Field | Communifire Documentation

Customize user profiles in your intranet with your own profile fields. You can select from a variety of profile field types and configure them to your desire. Make profile fields required or optional, set default values, allow only specific roles to view certain profile fields, and more.

Step 1: Edit the Edit Profile page, add a new profile section, and create new profile fields

1. Click the gear icon > Control Panel > People > User Profiles.
2. For the Edit Profile page, click the gear icon > Edit Page.
3. In the left pane, click Widgets.
4. Click Built in Widgets.
5. Drag and drop a Section widget onto the page.
6. On the Section widget, click the gear icon > Edit properties.
7. Updated the Title.
8. Check Include in page menu.
9. Click Save Widget.
10. In the left pane, click Add New Fields.
11. Drag and drop new profile fields onto the page.

12. On the profile field, click the gear icon > Edit properties.
13. Update the Field Label.
14. Configure the profile field as desired.
    • Refer to User Profile Fields to learn more about the configuration settings of each profile field type.
15. Click Save Widget.
16. Click Publish changes.
17. Click All pages.

Step 2: Edit the User Profile page, add a new section, and add the new profile field(s)

1. For the User Profile page, click the gear icon > Edit Page.
2. In the left pane, click Widgets.
3. Click Built in Widgets.
4. Drag and drop a new Section onto the page.
5. On the Section widget, click the gear icon > Edit properties.
6. Update the Title.
7. Click Save Widget.
8. In the left pane, click Fields.
9. Drag and drop the new profile fields onto the page, in the new section.
10. For each profile field, click the gear icon > Edit properties and configure the profile field as needed.
11. Click Save Widget.
12. Click Publish changes.
