Axero supports Facebook integration for single sign-on (SSO), out-of-the-box. This page walks you through configuring a Facebook App, shows you how to enable Facebook SSO in Axero, and demonstrates the Facebook login process.
Facebook SSO setup is estimated to take 1-2 hours. Once you complete the guide, Facebook SSO will be active on your intranet. For more information or assistance from the Axero team, submit a private case.
Note that you do not need to submit any items for approval since Facebook Login default permissions do not need extra approvals. Facebook Login provides your app access to a person's public profile, friend list, and email address. These three permissions do not require review. Instead, your app's users will choose whether they want to grant access to this information.
You can go back and edit your Facebook app settings here: https://developers.facebook.com/apps.
When a user joins using their Facebook account, some information is pulled from Facebook and populated in their Axero account. Facebook Connect in Axero gets the user's email so that once the user becomes a member, the same email is populated and used in the Axero User table. When a user returns to your community, they can log in using their Facebook credentials.
Note: Existing users can link their Axero account to their Facebook account only if the email address associated with the user in the community is the same as the user's Facebook email address. If the email address in the community is different from their Facebook email, and the user tries to log in via Facebook, then they will be added as a new user by Axero.
Enter your login information if necessary.
Exception: "UserCreateStatus status: InvalidUserName" when a new user tries to log in.
