Add Badge Challenge | Communifire Documentation

Badges are a great way to encourage participation in your intranet. You can create badges that are earned through completing specific actions. Add a challenge to specify the actions a user must complete to earn a badge.

1. Click the gear icon > Control Panel > People > Recognition > Challenges.
2. Click Add Challenge.
3. Fill in the following:
   • Challenge Title: Appears on the badge detail page.
   • Description: Appears on the badge detail page.
4. Enter the Award Content: The badge this challenge is for. Select a badge from the dropdown menu.
5. Check the following options:
   • Is Active: Allow users to earn badges with this challenge.
   • Steps must be completed in order: Users must complete the challenge steps in the order they appear to complete the badge challenge.
   • Challenge can be repeated multiple times on this site: Allow more than one user to complete this challenge.
   • Any user can repeat this challenge multiple times: Allow users that have already completed this challenge to complete this challenge multiple times.
6. Enter the Points to Award when the challenge is completed. (Optional)
   • Note: You can create a badge challenge with points and no associated badge (Award Content). When a user completes the badge challenge, they earn points. The user won't receive a notification that they completed the challenge.
7. Click Add a Step.
8. Fill in the Title of the step. This title will appear on the badge detail page.
9. Select the Action: The activity required for badge to be awarded. Below is a list of all available Actions.

   • You can specify the space, content type, and content of the action or leave it open.
   • Note: The View action can take up to 2 hours to be marked as complete.
10. Enter the Number Required: The number of times this step must be completed in this challenge.
11. Check Is Active to allow users to complete this step for this challenge.
12. Click Add a Step to save the step.
13. Add more steps.
14. Drag and drop steps to reorder them.
15. Click Save.

Alternative Way

Add a challenge from the badges list to pre-select the badge in the Award Content menu.

1. Click the gear icon > Control Panel > People > Recognition.
2. For a badge, click Add in the Challenge column.
