Please confirm expected behavior: When a wiki has one user (A) who published a wiki page and another user (B) who updated it, should both A and B receive email alerts when someone posts a comment?

In my tests, only user A and a third user (C) who is following the content were emailed notifications.

B did not receive an email notification or a Communifire notification.

It seems to me that users who update content should automatically follow the content.

    Hey Maxwell,

A user who edits content and is not the author will not get notifications when the content is commented on. We've moved your post to the Suggestions and Feedback forum for future reference.

    FWIW, I second Maxwell's suggestion.

    Hey Maxwell,

This functionality has been updated. A user who updates content created by another user will automatically follow the content. Your site should have this already.

Aaron - if your site doesn't have this functionality now, please submit a private case here to update your site.

Grace Kamau will this functionality be retroactive? By which I mean, if User X updated User Y's content prior to the update being rolled out, will User X still automatically be following User Y's content?

  • gskamau

    Hey Aaron,

No, this will only apply to content edited after receiving the fix.
