One of my co workers got a new work computer and is now having issues with our communifire site. She is trying to upload some photos into albums and as files and is getting errors when she does. She is an admin of the space https://theinsider.known.is/spaces/402/know-and-tell/home
Below is the error she gets when trying to upload as files
When she tries to upload photos to an album it shows that 0 photos were uploaded when she clicks save and there are no photos in the album even though she gets the notification a the top on her screen that images were uploaded.
She is working on a new Macbook Pro and had the errors in both Safari and Chrome
I am able to do both of these actions without issue on my PC. Please let me know if this is a permissions setting or what is happening
Please go to Control Panel > System > Advanced System Utilities and restart the site. The site will stall for up to a minute or so while it restarts. Then have the user check if they can upload photos and files.
Will this interrupt any service or cause any thing to fail when I do this?
While the site restarts, it will appear to load slowly for up to a minute or so. Restarting the site usually doesn't interrupt service any more than that. If it does, you may need your IT team to start the app pool in IIS on the web server. You may prefer to restart the site during non-business hours.
I went ahead an restarted and it didn't work. She is still getting the same index error when uploading as files and the below message when she tries to upload to an album
What kind of files is she trying to upload? Are the files very large?
No they're medium-ish jpgs. I was able to upload them on my computer in Chrome. She was also able to add the same photos to a poll on the page I linked to earlier
When she tried uploading the photos/files, did she drag and drop them? If so, could you have her try clicking Select Files instead and uploading the files that way? Does that work?
We screen shared while she did it before I contacted you and she used the select file option
What version of macOS is she on?
She's on Big Sur. 11.2.3. It's a 2020 Macbook Pro
Thanks for checking. We're investigating the issue.
Is this happening for the user in one space only or all spaces? Is the user able to upload files or photos in other spaces?
Could your team provide a backup of the database? Zip up the .bak file then submit a private case and attach the zipped file.
