Home page missing | Communifire Support

Hello,

We have a community home page (Effective Monitoring Working Series) that is showing as blank.  Not only is it showing as blank, but also showing as blank within the page builder.

Was this page cloned or set to or from a Master template recently?

I believe the page was created from a cloned page. 

Do you happen to know what is causing this and how to avoid it in the future?  Also, do you have an ETA on when it could be resolved? This community is home to 100+ users currently.

The fastest solution is likely to recreate it from the page it was originally cloned from. As for the cause, was a master page ever set then removed for this page? Even by accident?

Doing so will delete what is currently on the page to replicate the master page. If this was set then removed, it could result in a lost pagebuilder page.

If re-cloning the page is not an option, we can work to get a backup of your database and pull another copy of the pagebuilder page from a backup. This will take some time to do however.

Thanks for your quick reply, Foster.

We are reaching out to our techs to see if the master template page option was used.  I'm assuming that this works much like a parent/child option of whatever is on the mater template page (parent) is then shown on the child pages.  If we are not currently using pages in that manner, is it safe for us (if all the pages have "none" listed as that option and are working correctly to uncheck the "use as template page" for those few pages that are shown in the drop-down?  Or will that cause further issues?

Also, what would be the estimated turnaround time if we needed to pull a copy of the pagebuilder page from the backup in our database?

We've also lost 2 pages within the past week or so - assumed it was user error but users can not find how this could be the case. Is there a platform glitch?
