Did something change with the latest version of the platform?
We have an embedded app that used to work, and without us changing anything, it has stopped working. The url for the embedded app is: https://boothbifrost.com/job-board.
It's a took from knack.com
If you click on "Add Job" it takes you to the next form, but if you click "Submit", rather than submitting the form, it just redirects back to the first page.
We are looking into the issue.
Could you visit https://builder.knack.com and check if your app is using the new builder or not?
I am using the new builder and am experiencing the same issue. The embedded application form submit doesn't work
Do you have the option to disable the new builder? If so, please try to disable the new builder, then check if the embedded form works.
I do see this error message when I inspect with Chrome
Invalid 'X-Frame-Options' header encountered when loading 'https://us-east-1-renderer-write.knack.com/api/xdc.html?xdm_e=https%3A%2F%2Fboothbifrost.com&xdm_c=default9871&xdm_p=1': ''allow-from' https://us-east-1-renderer-write.knack.com' is not a recognized directive. The header will be ignored.
I don't know if this is an issue
It failed while using the original builder. I only changed it today to see if using the new builder would fix it and it did not. It fails regardless of the old or new builder.
Please try embedding the page using the IFrame Widget . First, view the page to get the URL.
Then edit the Page Builder page and add an iFrame widget. Set the width to 100% and the height to your desired height in pixels. Paste the URL in Iframe URL.
Then save the widget and page.
I appreciate the suggestion.
This is a suboptimal workaround since it requires us to set a fixed height on an application that has pages of variable height. As an embed, it looked like it naturally fit into communifire. Using an iFrame creates nested scroll bars that give the site a cluttered and unprofessional feel.
While I will probably need to implement this workaround, I'd much prefer a solution that restores the functionality that used to exist before the upgrade.
I've forwarded this issue to our development team to see if there's a way to submit the form when it's in a Raw HTML widget. I'll let you know what they find.
Please add the following code in the same Raw HTML widget as the embedded form.
This will allow you to submit the form.
The upper part of the form may be cut off. If so, also add the following CSS in the Raw HTML widget as well.
The code in the Raw HTML widget should then look like this:
