Is it possible to customize the mobile app experience? For example we don't want to use the calendar functionality and will be hiding it on the web browser via css overrides but it's still visible on the mobile app. That's going to cause a lot of confusion
The app is nothing like when I go to the site via the mobile web browser. Huge let down. Would love a way for the app to mimic the web application look & feel. Coding isn't a problem if there is a work around that way.
You are able to turn off the Calendar in the Application settings.
You can turn the calendar off for individual spaces by going to Manage Space: Application Settings and turn off Events
If you want to turn off the Calendar for the entire site and all spaces you can go to Control Panel > System > Application Settingsand set Events to off.
These changes will be reflected in the mobile app as you are changing the system settings and turning off features.
Any CSS changes made in the site will not be reflected in the app as the app is a native app and not a mobile web-based app.
The Mobile app is a companion app that allows your users easy access to the content in your site, search capabilities, instant messaging, activity streams, notifications, people search, etc..
We will be releasing a new mobile app that will allow you to build mobile page builder pages so you will have greater flexibility with customizing the app.
We will be notifying all of our clients when the new app is available. You may also choose to follow our New Enhancementspage to see all the latest updates we make each month.
Hope this helps!
