We are migrating our existing content to the Communifre platform for our intranet.

On our old system, we house eLearning presentations published from Articulate Storyline 360.  Publishing them creates a folder filesystem for the 100s of files that make up the interactive training experience.  In the root folder is an index.html file that basically runs the course, so in our old intranet, once we had uploaded the folder full of files for the new course, we only had to publically link to the one index file.

How can we replicate this in Communifire?  Is there a way we can push up a folder full of files, then link to the one index file to initiate the course?

We have been rebranding all our online stuff to all say "Rain for Rent".  We are fearing the only solution is a third-party hosting site, which takes us in the wrong direction.

    Thanks for your feedback!

    Hi Jerry,

What kind of files are in these folders? Communifire can host a wide range of file types but we can give a more accurate answer once we know what these files contain.

    Thanks,
    Foster

It's an entire heirarchy of related files needed to present an eLearning course in a browser, so basically a mini-web site.  (horrible analogy).

I can provide a sample in a ZIP file, we'd be looking for a way to unpack the zip somewhere in the Communifire file system so that the heirarchy is preserved, then we would link to the story.html file on a page link for the user.

Some of the courses are huge, 100s of mb.

    Hi Jerry,

That's a great analogy, and thank you for providing the video, it really helps us understand what we are working with. With a system like this, you would have to host outside of Communifire.

However, once other web hosting has been found, you can include those courses in an IFrame Widget within your Communifire Site. This would allow you to embed the courses inside your Communifire Pages to give your users easy access to them within the page.

    I hope this helps,
    Foster
