Anonymous comments on wiki

    I have a user who created a wiki with anonymous comments enabled.

    2 questions:

    1) I can view the users who posted the comments, I assume because I am the site admin. Is this intentional?

    2)If the anonymous commenting is ever rolled back do the already existing comments get unmasked?

    Hi Elk,

    The Allow Anonymous Comments option is to allow non-logged in users to make a comment on content in a public community. This will not hide the username of a logged in user.

    I have changed the text of this option on your site to "Allow non-logged in users to comment" in order to make it more clear of its intended functionality.

    I hope this helps,
    Foster

    Is there an easy way to disable this since our site is not open for guest contribution?

  • Foster

    Hi Elk,

    Once you refresh the page, this option should no longer appear.

    I added the following line to your CSS overrides.

    .ax-anonymous-comments-checkbox{display:none;}

    Please let me know if there are any other issues,
    Foster
