In the Activity Stream, is there a way to hide the "What's on your mind?" feature?

Do you want to hide the "What's on your mind?" feature on My Activity Stream or Space Activity Stream ? If the latter, do you want to hide it in all spaces or specific spaces?

We'd like to hide it in the Space Activity Stream in all of the Spaces. Possibly also the My Activity Stream.

Hi Carlene,

To hide the "What's on your mind?" feature in a space, go to Manage Space > Permissions > Wall Permissions and uncheck the Create permission for all the roles the feature should be hidden for. You'll need to update permissions in every space.

The "What's on your mind?" feature can also be hidden in all spaces using CSS Overrides. Let me know if you'd prefer to do this instead.

To hide the feature on My Activity Stream, go to Control Panel > System > CSS Overrides and add the following code.

#axero-my-account-container #axero-my-status-input {
    display: none;
}

Using our Corporate space as an example, I've gone in and removed the Create permission from all roles on the Wall but the "What's on your mind?" feature is still there. do I need to remove all Wall permissions or is there something else missing?

Hi Carlene,

The "What's on your mind" feature still appears for you because you're a Site Administrator. Other people who are just top level Members won't see that feature in the space now.
