Communifire now comes with a new chat called Wefire Chat for all your communication and instant messaging needs. Wefire Chat includes video conferencing and screen sharing features that work right in your browser - no need to download any plugins or programs.
The sidebar lists all your channels, teams, and direct messages.
The sidebar includes buttons to change your status, search the directory, view the directory, change the view mode, and create new chats.
The chat header includes buttons to favorite a chat, start a video call, view threads, view channel members or user information, view attachments, set notifications, view starred messages, view pinned messages, start off-the-record (OTR) conversations, and view keyboard shortcuts.
Note: You can select multiple users to start a multi-user direct message chat. Multi-user direct message chats are private. Multi-user direct message chats cannot be turned into a channel or team chat.
Click your image to change your status or log out. Available statuses are online, away, busy, and invisible.
You can also set a custom status. Click Custom Status..., select the status type, and enter a custom status message.
The directory lists users, public channels, and public teams. Search the directory to discover public channels and teams or to find someone to message.
Click the search icon in the sidebar to search for people and public channels and teams.
Click the search icon in the chat header to search for messages in the current chat.
Use search commands to filter and sort search results. You can add the commands before or after the search keywords.

Chat search also supports regular expressions.
Click the filters button to change the sidebar display.
Available display options for the sidebar are extended, medium, and condensed.
You can hide or show avatars in the sidebar.
Sort messages by alphabetical order or recent activity. Group messages by type, by starred, or sort unread chats at the top.

Wefire Chat Mobile and Desktop Apps
Download the Wefire Chat mobile and desktop chat apps to stay connected in chat even when you're not on the site. You can do all the things in the mobile and desktop apps that you can do in the web application, such as send files, favorite conversations, and start new conversations.
Wefire Chat Administration
In the Wefire Chat administration area, you can view chat statistics, see an overview of all chat rooms, and update chat settings such as the logo and colors. To open the administration area, click your image in the sidebar, then click Administration.
