On this date, all associated documentation will be removed, and the feature will be permanently discontinued from our platform. The current version of the Desktop Chat App is a separate platform that acts as a wrapper of the web browser version of the Axero Chat, which will remain an integral part of the Axero platform. Over time, we've observed that users prefer utilizing their message notification icon or pinning the Axero Chat URL to their bookmarks, taskbars, and navigation headers for easier access. The discontinuation of this feature will not impact your usage of the Axero platform. For further inquiries, please contact your Client Success Manager.
Download the Communifire Desktop Chat App to stay connected in chat even when you're not on the site. You can do all the things in the Desktop Chat App that you can do on the web application, such as send files, favorite conversations, and start new conversations.
The Communifire Desktop Chat App is available to download for Windows and Mac OS X. The apps have been tested on the following platform versions:

Note: During the first run, you may see a warning saying the following:
Communifire.app cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.
To fix this warning, go to > System Preferences > Security & Privacy.
Download and unzip the zip file then double click the installer.
A shortcut will be created on the desktop that you can use to launch the app.
Enter your intranet URL, including https:// (e.g., https://myintranet.communifire.com).
Enter your login information and click Sign in.
You can do all the things in the desktop chat app that you can do on the web application, such as send files, favorite conversations, and start new conversations.
This error message tends to appear in new versions of OS X. To fix this error, reboot the Mac. If you still see the error after rebooting, delete the app then download and install it again.
