The Search Analytics report is designed to provide you with valuable insights into how users search for content, the terms they use, and the results they click. View key details about searches being completed across your site in three subsections:
Within this subsection, you can explore the terms users utilize when searching for content. You have the flexibility to select the timeframe of searches to fine-tune your report. Additionally, you can apply filters to narrow down your analysis by Spaces, the person who performed the search, or the specific Search Term. These features empower you to gain comprehensive insights into user search behaviors and patterns.
The terms are arranged by most used by default, but you can modify this order by clicking on the header of any column to get searches ranked by different metrics. The metrics will provide you with a comprehensive view of the searched keywords utilized by users. These metrics include:
Note: CTR can exceed 100% when users click on multiple results from a single search. For example, if a user clicks on three different items after entering the same search term, each of those clicks is counted, resulting in a CTR of 300% for that term. This reflects higher engagement and gives a more complete picture of user behavior.
You have the ability to choose the specific timeframe you wish to analyze. By default, the system is set at All Time, but you have the flexibility to opt for a day, an entire month, the past 12 months, or even set a custom range according to your needs.
You have the option to download the report displayed on the screen as a CSV file. The downloaded file will reflect the applied filters, ensuring the information remains consistent with your analysis.
To enhance your search capabilities, the following recommendations offer actionable insights to optimize user experience and ensure content accessibility.

Refine Spelling and Integrate SynonymsCheck search terms for spelling errors and consider adding relevant synonyms to enhance relevance. This enhances search precision and ensures users find the content they seek.

Search Term AnalysisWhen you encounter frequently searched terms within the Terms sub-section, look the term up in the Activity section. This will provide insight into the content that users select in response to these popular search terms.
Low Click-Through Rate (CTR) InvestigationIn cases where a low click-through rate is observed, despite regular searches for a specific term, consider engaging directly with users. Gather their expectations about what they intend to find and whether their needs are being met. This interaction can provide insights into whether search optimization is necessary.
