The Users Analytics report shows who uses the site, how much, and from what device. It has three subsections:
This subsection has a chart at the top and a table below it. The chart plots active users over the timeframe you choose (Last 30 Days by default), and you can group it by Space and by Interval (day, week, month, quarter, or year).
The table lists the most active people in that timeframe, with a column for each kind of activity.
Top Users are sorted according to Points by default, but you can modify this order by clicking on the header of any column to get users ranked by different metrics.
These metrics are:
Pick the timeframe to analyze. The default is Last 30 Days; you can also choose a day, a month, the past 12 months, or a custom range.
Download the report on screen as a CSV file. The file reflects the filters you have applied.
Two ways to act on what the report shows:
Celebrate Top ContributorsCelebrate your top contributors on a regular schedule, both the people who create content and the people who engage with it.
Content CreatorsLook past how much each person created to which content drew the most engagement. The Content section shows that, and it is the content to celebrate.
UsersUse the points system to reward engagement: viewing, posting in forums, sharing, liking or rating, and commenting.
The Membership Report lists each person with the number of spaces they belong to, the date they joined, and the date they were last active. Choose a space in the dropdown to see each person's roles in it, and search by first or last name to find one person.
Pick the timeframe to analyze. The default is Last 30 Days; you can also choose a day, a month, the past 12 months, All Time, or a custom range.
On this report the range is applied to the date each person joined, not to when they were last active. That catches people out: a long-established space full of active members returns "There are no users that match your filter criteria" on the default Last 30 Days, simply because nobody joined it in the last month. The report is not broken and the space is not empty.
To list everyone in a space, choose All Time. Note that the range selected at the top of the page applies to every tab, so switching tabs carries it with you.
You can export the Membership Report as a CSV file for further analysis. The downloaded file includes the data currently shown on screen and respects any filters you have applied (for example, by spaces, or date ranges).
Click Download CSV in the top right of the report page.
The CSV file includes membership details for each user. Below is an example of the exported format:
This subsection shows what kind of device people use to reach the site, which tells you which experience to improve first.
