Embed Axero as an App in Microsoft Teams | Axero Documentation

Axero can be embedded within Microsoft Teams, either as an Application on the left-hand navigation menu or as a tab at the top of a channel.

Embed Axero as an Application in Microsoft Teams

1. Submit a private support case requesting a zip file from Axero for adding your site as an Application within Teams. In your submission please provide your desired Application name (e.g., Company Name Intranet, Intranet, etc.) - this is the text that will appear on the left-hand navigation bar of Teams.

Note: You must have Microsoft Power Apps enabled to take advantage of this integration.

2. Once you have been provided with the zip file from Axero, as an administrator in Power Apps, go to https://make.powerapps.com. Click on Apps, and then Import Canvas App. Upload the zip file.

3. During the upload, under Import Setup, select Create as new and name your resource. Click Save, then Import.

4. Once successfully uploaded, go back to the Apps menu, and select the newly uploaded app. Then click on Add to Teams and Download App.

2. Once the zip file downloads, as an administrator in Teams, go to Apps  

3. Select Manage Your Apps, and then Upload an App

4. Select Upload an App to your Org's App Catalogue (Note: If you do not see this option, you do not have the proper permissions in Teams to complete this setup. Please contact your Teams administrator)

5. Upload the provided zip file when prompted

6. Click on the newly installed app, and select Add

7. Right-click on the newly added App on the left-hand navigation menu, and select Pin

8. Follow Teams instructions for automatically installing this App for your users, and automatically pinning it to their left-hand navigation menus through policies.

9. Your users may also choose to embed the application as a tab within specific channels, by clicking on the "+" icon at the top of a channel

Note: Depending on your browser security settings, you may have to enable make.powerapps.com to open pop-ups in order for this integration to function properly.

Note: If you see an error message that the app does not exist after uploading the app to Teams, restart Teams to see if that resolves the issue.
