Axero's Broadcast tool allows administrators to send messages to everyone on your intranet by email and in-app notification, and by SMS text message where Twilio is set up. Whether you are communicating during an emergency or sharing company news, broadcasts get the word out quickly.
To create a broadcast that meets your goals, work with your fellow administrators and intranet stakeholders to understand the information that needs to be sent out via broadcast. Consider communication needs, geographic regions, work environment (i.e., in-office, at home, or hybrid), frequently used features, and patterns within user intranet use to inform your communications strategy.
When you are ready to begin using Axero's broadcast feature, turn on the feature from Application Settings in your Control Panel.
Then, navigate to Control Panel > Content > Broadcasts
Click Add a new broadcast.
Or click Create and select Broadcast.
The next screen will show a form to fill.
Next, click the Recipients tab located at the top of the page.
Under Select recipients, you can choose from three options: Personas, People, and Spaces.
Administrators can use one or more of these options to select the users who will receive the broadcast.
Personas allow you to group and filter users based on a variety of criteria. See our Personas documentation for more information.
Filter Personas
The Personas tab displays a list of available Personas.
To add a Persona to the recipient list, hover over its name and click the + icon. (One or more filters can be added to the Send to list to broadcast a message.)
The Send to panel displays the selected recipients and the total number of users who will receive the broadcast.
Filter People
The People tab allows Administrators to search for specific users on your intranet.
Begin typing a user's name in the search field, then hover over the result and click the + icon to add the user to the Send to list.
Filter Spaces
The Spaces tab allows administrators to select one or more spaces as recipients. All users who belong to the selected spaces will receive the broadcast notification.
Click the Send or schedule tab when you are ready to send the message to the list of recipients.
You will see two options on this tab.
Send now
Select Send now to send the broadcast message immediately.
Schedule for later
Select Schedule for later to publish the broadcast at a future date and time.
Click the Publication date field to open the calendar.
Select the desired publication date and time, then click Schedule for later.
A confirmation message will indicate that the broadcast has been scheduled. "The following content will be published on."
To view the scheduled broadcast, go to Control Panel > Content > Broadcasts.

You can also show a list of broadcasts on a Page Builder page using the Broadcast Page Builder Widget:
Files attached to a broadcast are stored with the broadcast and are available on the broadcast detail page within your intranet. They are not included as email attachments when the broadcast is sent via email notification.
This behavior is by design to help protect files using your intranet's authentication and permission settings. Instead of being sent as email attachments, files remain within your intranet where access is controlled by user authentication and permissions.
Recipients receive an email notification containing a link to the broadcast. After signing in (if required), they can open the broadcast and view or download any attached files.
There are two ways to make files available to broadcast recipients:
To enable images in broadcast emails, please follow the How to Enable Images in Emails documentation.
Users will receive notifications on your intranet along with email notifications when a broadcast is received.
Check out the Broadcast Email Notifications Setup documentation to learn more about how site admins can enable these email notifications for end-users.
