Personas enable Axero administrators to create dynamic user groups to target communications, automate tasks, and connect your workforce to the people and information they need for better productivity. As a result, you'll increase and expedite user adoption and improve your end-user experience.
To create personas that meet the needs of your company, collaborate with community administrators and intranet stakeholders to analyze your user types. Draft, review, and finalize a persona list before setting them up in your Axero intranet. Consider factors such as user job roles, communication needs, regions, work location (e.g., in-office, at home, or hybrid), frequently used features and patterns within the intranet.
Personas can be created at both the site and space levels. Site personas apply across the entire intranet, while space personas are specific to individual spaces. Site Administrators can view, edit, and delete all personas, whether defined at the site or space level.
To learn more about managing personas within spaces, see Personas in Spaces.
A simple persona contains only one condition.
Navigate to the Conditions tab and configure the following:
Once the required selections are complete, the list of users matching the selected user profile field will be displayed under Matched People. In this example, 14 users in this community matched the City Equals San Diego condition.
You can add multiple conditions to a persona to refine your user selection:
All conditions in a group must use the same operator. To mix AND and OR, add multiple condition groups. See Creating a Multiple Condition Group Persona below.
Examples:
Conditions can be deleted by clicking the minus icon.
Use multiple groups to create complex logic by combining different sets of conditions.
How groups work: Think of each group as parentheses in a logical expression. All conditions within a group must use the same operator (AND or OR). Groups are then connected using AND or OR.
Example: To create "(A OR B) AND C":
To Create a Multiple Condition Group Persona:
In the example below, the persona includes users in the Finance or Human Resources Departments who are located in California and have the role of Coordinator.
This creates the logic: (Department = Finance OR Department = Human Resources) AND (State = California AND Role = Coordinator)
To delete a condition group, click the X icon:
Administrators can manage personas by editing their setup, turning them off temporarily, or removing them entirely when they are no longer needed.
NOTE: Editing a site persona applies changes across all spaces it impacts.
To delete a saved persona, click the Delete icon in the Delete column.
