You can update personal files by checking them out and then checking them back in. When you check in the file, you will be prompted to upload a newer version to replace the original file. The file, after being checked in, will be available to check out again. If you do not want to upload a new version, you can undo the checkout.
Note: To enable personal files, a site administrator must set ShowNewMyAccountFilesView to true in Control Panel > System > System Properties. For space files, see Update File.
