ServiceNow Integration Administrator Setup | Axero Documentation

Connect ServiceNow to Axero to see your ServiceNow incidents in Axero.

Axero shows the following information:

• Incident ID
• Title
• Creator
• Last updated by
• Last update date
• Number of comments

Step 1: Configure the ServiceNow App

1. In ServiceNow, search for Application Registry.
2. Click Application Registry.
3. Click New.
4. Click Create an OAuth API endpoint for external clients.
5. Enter a Name for the application.
6. In Redirect URL, enter your site URL followed by /oauth2/servicenow/callback (e.g., https://myintranet.com/oauth2/servicenow/callback).
7. (Optional) In Logo URL, enter a link to an image for the app. The image appears when users connect their accounts.
8. Click Submit.
9. Click the application you created.
10. Copy the Client ID and Client Secret and save them for later.

Step 2: Configure Axero

1. In Axero, go to Control Panel > System > System Properties.
2. Search for servicenow.
3. Edit the ServiceNowIntegrationEnabled property.
4. Set the value to true, then click Save.
5. Click System > Integrations.
6. Next to ServiceNow, click Connect.
7. Fill out the following:
   • Display Name: This name will appear in My Integrations when a user has connected their account.
   • ServiceNow Instance Url: Enter the ServiceNow instance URL.
   • App Client Id: Paste the client ID.
   • App Client Secret: Paste the client secret.
   • Available in top level community: Lets you use this account when you add a ServiceNow widget to top-level Page Builder pages.
   • Available in Spaces: Lets you use this account when you add a ServiceNow widget to space Page Builder pages.
8. Click Save Settings.

Step 3: Add a ServiceNow Widget to a Page Builder Page

1. In the Control Panel, click System > Page Builder.
2. Add or edit a Page Builder page.
3. Click Widgets.
4. Drag a Content List widget onto the page.
5. On the widget, click the gear icon > Edit properties.
6. Update the widget Title.
7. In Widget Sub Type, select ServiceNow Incidents.
8. In Connected Account, select the ServiceNow account.
9. Set the Total items to display.
10. Click Save Widget.
11. Click Publish changes.
12. Click Go to page.
