Deactivated People | Axero Documentation

When you deactivate a user:

• The user cannot sign in with this account.
• The user isn't listed in People Directory.
• The user doesn't appear in Search.
• People can't view the user's profile.
• The user's content can be re-assigned to another user, kept attributed to the user, or deleted.
• The user doesn't count toward the license user limit.
• The user can be reactivated or deleted later.

You can activate, edit, or delete deactivated people in the Control Panel.

Activate Deactivated Users

Activating a deactivated user lets them access the intranet again. They're listed in People Directory and appear in Search.

To activate a deactivated user:

1. Click the gear icon > Manage People > Deactivated People.
2. For a user, click the gear icon > Activate.
3. Click Yes.

To activate multiple deactivated users:

1. Click the gear icon > Manage People > Deactivated People.
2. Check the box next to each user. You can filter the list by name.
3. Click Activate.
4. Click Yes.

Edit Deactivated User

1. Click the gear icon > Manage People > Deactivated People.
2. For a user, click the gear icon > Edit.
3. On the Edit Profile page that opens, make your changes to the profile.
4. Click Save.

Delete Deactivated User

To delete a deactivated user:

1. Click the gear icon > Manage People > Deactivated People.
2. For a user, click the gear icon > Delete.
3. Select a re-assign option.
4. Click Delete.

To delete multiple deactivated users:

1. Click the gear icon > Manage People > Deactivated People.
2. Check the box next to each user. You can filter the list by name.
3. Click Delete.
4. Select a re-assign option.
5. Click Delete.

Re-assign Content Options

System anonymous user
Content is assigned to user Anonymous, a system user. You can't control this user or sign in as it.

User
Transfers the user's content to another user. This content is re-assigned to that user:

• Activity Stream activity
• Articles, article drafts, and article comments
• Blogs, blog drafts, and blog comments
• Cases, case comments, and case recipient
• CMS pages
• Discussions and replies
• Events and event comments
• Files and file comments
• Ideas, idea drafts, and idea comments
• Photos, albums, album comments, and photo comments
• Tasks, task lists, task assignments, and task follower
• Videos and video comments
• Wall post comments the user left in spaces, apart from comments on posts awarding a badge or recognition
• Wiki pages, wiki drafts, and wiki comments
• Content version history
• Space creator

The following content is re-assigned to Anonymous:

• Chat messages in group chats
• Wall posts in which the user awarded a badge or recognition
• Comments the user left in spaces on wall posts awarding a badge or recognition
• @Mentions on the @Mentions page
• Task time logs

The following content is removed:

• Activity Ticker activity
• Badge recipient
• Private messages (1-to-1 chats)
• Confirmed reads
• Connections
• Event attendee and organizer
• Private events the user owns, meaning any event saved with Is Private checked. Their other events are reassigned. See My Calendar
• Flagged content logs
• Likes and dislikes
• @Mentions of the user
• Poll and survey responses in Manage Space and the Control Panel
• Profile field data
• Wall posts the user wrote, apart from the ones awarding a badge or recognition
• Wall posts on the user's own wall, along with their comments
• Wall post comments the user left outside spaces

The following content is retained:

• Case milestones
• Idea votes
• Ratings
• Tasks

If a profile Lookup Field points to the user, such as the Reports to profile field, you can clear it or select a new user.
