Third-Party Controls and Frameworks | Axero Documentation

The Axero platform includes third-party software controls, both commercial and open source, that it needs to work.

Each control below is listed with a link to its license. 

Commercial licenses

Axero has purchased these commercial software licenses and currently holds and maintains them. 

• Aspose (license, creating PDFs from various MS documents) Lifetime paid license
• HiQPDF (license, creating PDFs from HTML pages) Lifetime paid license
• Mail.DLL by limilabs (license, various emailing functions) Lifetime paid license
• SAML v2.0 for ASP.NET by ComponentSpace (license) Lifetime paid license
• TinyMCE (license, rich text editor): Tiny commercial license

Open source licenses

• FFmpeg: FFmpeg is licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL) version 2.1 or later. However, FFmpeg incorporates several optional parts and optimizations that are covered by the GNU General Public License (GPL) version 2 or later. If those parts are used, the GPL applies to all of FFmpeg.
• Video.js (video player)
• Tika.Net: Apache license
• Elasticsearch (free default distribution): Elastic License 2.0, a free source-available license. Elasticsearch has not been released under the Apache license since version 7.11.
• FBConnectAuth.dll (for FB login support): Open source
• Enyim.Caching: Apache license
• DDay.iCal: MIT license
• Twitterizer2: Open source license
• Microsoft.AspNet.SignalR: Apache license
• Microsoft.Owin.dll: Apache license
• WillStrohl.API.oEmbed: MIT license
• ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib: MIT license
• EcmaScript.Net: BSD License
• antlr.runtime: Open source, free license
• FontAwesome: licensed under SIL OFL 1.1 · Code licensed under MIT License
• BootStrap: Code licensed under Apache License v2.0
• Mozilla PDF.js: licensed under the Apache License 2.0
• Unsplash: provided in accordance with their free API
• Valums File Uploader: licensed under GNU GPL 2 or later and GNU LGPL 2 or later.
• Uploadify: licensed under the MIT License

Axero hereby expressly excludes any liability to Customer and/or any third party whatsoever and howsoever arising from or in any way related to the Third Party Software, including without limitation, to Customers’ use, regardless of whether Axero has been advised of the possibility of such damage.

Note: Axero can't guarantee the third-party Software itself, but the platform needs it to work fully. We guarantee and go to great lengths to ensure that these controls work with Axero. If a Third-Party Control fails or stops working for any reason, we will replace it as part of our license agreement.
