Axero's org chart allows for rich visualization of your organization's structure. It shows how departments are structured, how departments relate to one another, and how each person fits into your organization. The chart is always up-to-date, and anyone in your organization can view it at any time. You have the visual options of Horizontal or Vertical display for the chart.
The org chart is automatically generated using the Reports to profile field. Each person is displayed as a node with their image, name, and job title. Click a person in the chart to load their user card and expand the chart with their direct reports. Double-click a person to center the chart on them.
Admin Note: For org charts with over 100 users, we recommend setting System Properties > OrganizationalChartLevelsCount to 2 or 3.
The org chart user card shows the bio and contact information of the selected person.
Admin You can customize the org chart user card in Control Panel > Manage People > User Profiles > Org Chart > Org chart user card.
Admin You can set default display settings and valid org chart leaders in Control Panel > People > User Profiles > Org Chart > Default node properties.
To view a list of someone's direct reports, visit their profile and click Relationships > Direct Reports.
Admin To display a count of direct reports in the org chart, go to Control Panel > System > System Properties and set OrgChartShowDirectReportsCount to true.
Admin You can customize the list on the Direct Reports page by editing the People List Template in Control Panel > People > User Profiles. You can add or remove profile fields, add any text, and rearrange the layout.
You can have multiple org charts on your intranet with multiple leaders who don't report to anyone. Browse > People > Org chart will display one org chart. The other org charts can be accessed by going to the profile of a user in the org chart and clicking the Org chart button. You can link to all the org charts on a Page Builder page or anywhere else.
Example of multiple org charts:
Setting up multiple org charts example
Alexis, Mia, and Raymond are team leaders. They don't report to anyone.
In Control Panel > People > User Profiles > Org chart > Valid org chart leaders, we enter Alexis, Mia, and Raymond.
Because Alexis is the first person we entered, her org chart loads when we visit Browse > People > Org chart. The URL is https://myintranet.axero.com/people/organizational-chart.
When we visit Mia or Raymond's profile, an Org chart button appears in the profile header.
Clicking the Org chart button opens Mia's org chart. The URL is https://myintranet.axero.com/people/mia-w/organizational-chart.
We can copy the URLs of the org chart and link them to the org charts on a Page Builder page or anywhere else. Here's an example using a Rich Text Widget on a Page Builder page:
By default, the org chart is set to display horizontally.
To enable or disable the vertical view for the org chart:
Note: When the organizational chart is in vertical mode, only the levels directly above or below a selected position are visible.
To enable or disable the org chart:
