Single sign-on (SSO) lets people sign in to Axero with an account they already have, rather than with a separate Axero username and password.
Organizations use SSO to keep accounts and passwords in one place and to cut the number of passwords people have to remember.
Axero supports two kinds of sign-in integration. Select one below to open its setup guide.
Use one of these when your organization signs people in with a work account. Accounts and passwords stay with the provider, so people reach Axero with the same credentials they use for your other systems. If your provider is not listed here, use SAML 2.0, which covers any standards-compliant SAML 2.0 provider.
Two of these work differently from the rest. Active Directory covers self-hosted Axero installations only; if Axero hosts your site, contact Axero support about your options. Custom SSO hands sign-in to a website you already run, rather than to an identity provider.
These put a button on the login page so people can sign in with an account from one of these services. They are a convenience at sign-in, not a way to manage accounts centrally.
Each person clicks the button every time, and the buttons are not available in the Axero mobile app, which signs people in with an Axero password or through an identity provider above. If your organization manages its own work accounts, set up an identity provider instead.
We recommend turning on two-factor authentication alongside SSO. Axero applies 2FA to single sign-on logins as well as to Axero password logins, so people are asked for a second form of verification whichever way they sign in.
