A site administrator sets the password length limits and expiry for everyone. This page covers those settings and how to change your own password.
To set the length limits, click Control Panel > System > General Settings. Scroll down to Advanced Settings and expand it. There you can change the minimum and maximum password length. If you change them, click Save System Settings.
You use your password to log into your account and reach content in the intranet. Change it regularly, and use a strong password that includes a mix of lowercase and uppercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
To change your password:
1. Go to System Properties and search for PWExpirationDays. Click the edit icon.
2. Enter the number of days a password lasts before it expires, for everyone, then click Save. Enter 0 to turn expiration off.
3. After that many days, people are asked to set a new password the next time they log in. They click the Reset Password link.
4. On the next screen, they enter a new password and click Submit.
5. The next screen confirms the change and links to the login page, where they sign in with the new password.
