Notifications

When you subscribe to a forum, you get a notification each time someone starts a new discussion in it. You're also subscribed to every discussion already in the forum, so you get notifications for new replies on those.

For discussions started after you subscribe, you get reply notifications only if you subscribe to the discussion itself, or if the SendForumPostNotificationToForumSubscribedUser system property is set to true. It is false by default.

While that property is off, you can unsubscribe from an individual discussion to stop reply notifications for it. Unsubscribing from the forum also unsubscribes you from every discussion in it.
