Open API Guide

Post updates to user or space walls, manage social connections (follows), and aggregate activity streams for custom news feeds.

Available Endpoints

PUT Accept Connection Request /api/users/connections Accept a connection request for a particular user
GET Check Connection Status /api/users/{UserID}/connections/{ConnectionUserID}/status Check the connection status between two users.
POST Create Bookmark /api/content/{ContentID}/bookmarks Creates a bookmark of content
DELETE Delete Bookmark /api/content/{contentID}/bookmarks Delete an existing bookmark
POST Dislike Content /api/content/{ContentID}/dislikes You can dislike Article, Blog, Video, Wiki, Case, Discussion, Event, File, Idea, Photo, Album, and Comments using this API.
POST Follow Content /api/content/{ContentID}/followers Technical reference for the Add Follower endpoint, providing programmatic access to add follower functionality.
GET Get Connection Requests /api/users/friendrequests See who wants to connect with you. This endpoint lists all the incoming invitations that are waiting for an "Accept" or "Decline". Use this to show alert badges on your user's notifications icon.
GET Get Connection Requests Count /api/users/me/friendrequests/pending/count Enables administrators and developers to programmatically retrieve the number of the user's pending connection requests.
GET Get Connections /api/users/{UserID}/friends Technical reference for the Vote Down endpoint, providing programmatic access to vote down functionality.
GET Get Content Followers /api/content/{contentID}/followers Enables administrators and developers to programmatically retrieve a list of users following content.
GET Get Content Likes /api/content/{ContentID}/likes Gets the details of likes and dislikes on content.
GET Get Follow ID /api/follow/getid Check whether the authenticated user is following a specific piece of content. Returns the follow ID if the user is a follower, or 0 if they are not. Use this to toggle follow/unfollow states in your UI.
GET Get List of Users Who Bookmarked a Piece of Content /api/content/{ContentID}/bookmarks Enables administrators and developers to programmatically retrieve a list of users who bookmarked a specific piece of content.
GET Get Mentions /api/users/{UserID}/mentions Enables administrators and developers to programmatically retrieve a list of @mentions of a particular user.
GET Get My Bookmarks /api/content/bookmarks Allows a member to get their bookmarks.
GET Get Single Bookmark for a User /api/content/{ContentID}/bookmarks Enables administrators and developers to programmatically retrieve a list of users who bookmarked a specific piece of content.
POST Like Content /api/content/{ContentID}/likes You can like Article, Blog, Video, Wiki, Case, Discussion, Event, File, Idea, Photo, Album, and Comments using this API. It adds the like for the current user.
DELETE Remove Connection /api/users/connections Provides an automated mechanism for removing remove connection data from the system.
