This guide shows you how to display live Zoom meetings directly on your intranet page. Your team members can join and watch meetings without leaving your site or opening a separate Zoom window. Use this for company-wide town halls, training sessions, team meetings, executive communications, and special events like webinars or product launches.

What You'll Need Before You Start

• Admin access to your intranet (you'll need to access Page Builder and Dynamic Properties).
• Admin access to your Zoom account (you'll need to create an app in the Zoom Marketplace).
• Download the Zoom Templates (required for Steps 2 and 5).

Step 1: Set Up Your Zoom App

1. Go to the Zoom Apps Marketplace and sign in with your Zoom administrator account.
2. Click Develop in the top menu, then click Build App.
   
3. Select General App as your app type and click Create.
4. Give your app a name (like "My Company Intranet"). The name will update automatically when you click outside the field.
5. In the left menu, click Features, then click the Embed tab.
   
   
6. Turn on the Meeting SDK toggle.
   
   
7. Go back to the Basic Information page (click it in the left menu).
8. In the App Credentials section, copy your Client ID and Client Secret and save them somewhere safe. You'll need these in Step 2.

Step 2: Create the Meeting Player Template

1. In your intranet, click the gear icon in the top-right corner, then select Page Builder.
2. Click the Templates button at the top.
3. Click the Add New Template button.
4. In the Name field, type "Zoom Live Meeting".
5. In the Widget Type dropdown, select Dynamic Property.
6. Copy the code from the Template 1 - Zoom Live Meeting file (included in the template download below) and paste it into the large text box.
7. In the code you just pasted, find the line at the top that says <div id="ZoomKey"> and replace the text between the tags with your Client ID from Step 1.
8. Find the line that says <div id="ZoomSecret"> and replace the text between the tags with your Client Secret from Step 1.
9. Click the Save button.

Example of what the credentials should look like:

Step 3: Create a Dynamic Property for Meeting Details

1. In the System menu, click Dynamic Properties.
2. Click the Add Dynamic Property button.
3. In the Name field, type "Zoom Meeting ID".
4. Select a category from the dropdown.
5. In the editor, click the View menu and select Source code.
6. Delete any existing text and paste this code:

7. Click the Save button to return to the normal view.
   
   
8. Click the Save button at the bottom to save the property.

Note: When you need to change which meeting to show, you can either edit this property directly or use the Update Button from Step 5. You can find your Meeting ID in your Zoom meeting invite or by clicking Meeting Info when you're in a meeting.

Step 4: Add the Meeting Player to Your Page

1. In the System menu, select Page Builder.
2. Find the page where you want to show the Zoom meeting and click the page name to open it.
3. Click the Widgets tab on the left side.
4. Find the Dynamic Property widget and drag it onto your page where you want the meeting to appear.
5. Double-click the widget you just added to open its settings.
6. In the Choose a property dropdown, select Zoom Meeting ID.
7. In the Template dropdown, select Zoom Live Meeting.
8. Click the Save Widget button.
9. Click the Publish changes button at the top of the page to make your changes live.

Your Zoom meeting player is now set up!

How to Update the Meeting ID

Once everything is set up, you can easily change which Zoom meeting displays on your page:

Option 1: Edit the Dynamic Property Directly

1. Click the gear icon in the top right corner and select Control Panel.
2. In the left menu under System, click Dynamic Properties.
3. Find and click on the Zoom Meeting ID property.
4. In the first box (Meeting ID), type or paste your new Zoom meeting ID.
5. In the second box (Meeting password), type the password if your meeting has one.
6. Click Save.
7. Go back to your page and refresh to see the new meeting.

Option 2: Use the Update Button (Complete Step 5 Below)

If you want an easier way to update meetings without going into the Control Panel, continue to Step 5 to add an Update button to your page.

Where to find your Meeting ID: You can find the meeting ID in your Zoom meeting invite email, or click Meeting Info when you're in an active Zoom meeting.

Step 5 (Optional): Add an Update Button

This step creates a button that lets you change the meeting details directly from your page without going into the Control Panel. If you don't need this, you can skip this step.

Part A: Create the Update Button Template

1. Click the gear icon in the top right corner and select Page Builder.
2. Click the Templates button at the top.
3. Click the Add New Template button.
4. In the Name field, type "Update Zoom Meeting ID".
5. In the Widget Type dropdown, select Dynamic Property.
6. Copy the code from the Template 2 - Update Zoom Meeting ID file (included in the template download below) and paste it into the large text box.
7. Click the Save Template button. (You'll come back to update one setting after Part B.)

Part B: Add the Update Button Widget to Your Page

1. Go to the System menu and select Page Builder.
2. Find the page where you added the Zoom meeting player (in Step 4) and click the page name to open it.
3. Click the Widgets tab on the left side.
4. Drag another Dynamic Property widget onto the page and place it above the meeting player widget.
5. Double-click the new widget to open its settings.
6. In the Choose a property dropdown, select Zoom Meeting ID.
7. In the Template dropdown, select Update Zoom Meeting ID.
8. Click the Roles tab at the top of the widget settings window.
9. Check the boxes next to the user roles that should see and use the Update button (we recommend only Administrators).
10. Click the Save Widget button.
11. Click the Publish changes button at the top of the page to make your changes live.

Part C: Get the Property ID and Update the Template

The Update button needs to know which Dynamic Property to update. Follow these steps to find the Property ID and add it to your template:

1. While still on the page in Page Builder, double-click the Update button widget you just added to open its settings.
2. Look at the Choose a property dropdown where Zoom Meeting ID is selected.
3. Right-click anywhere on the page and select Inspect (or press F12 on your keyboard).
4. In the Elements panel, type Ctrl+F and search for DynamicPropertyModalDynamicPropertyTitleDropDownList.
5. Double-click the selected line to expand it.
6. Look at the value attribute of the selected option. This number is your Property ID.
7. Write down this number.
8. Click the Cancel button to close the widget settings.
9. Click the gear icon in the top right corner and select Templates.
10. In the Widget Type dropdown, select Dynamic Property.
11. Click the Update Zoom Meeting ID template you created in Part A.
12. In the code, scroll to the top and find the line that says const PROPERTY_ID = 0;
13. Change the 0 to your Property ID number (for example, if your ID is 42, the line should read const PROPERTY_ID = 42;).
14. Click the Save Template button.
    
    

Your Update button is now fully configured and ready to use.

Keeping Your Meetings Secure

This setup is designed for your internal intranet. Only people who are logged in to your intranet can see the embedded meetings.

Security Best Practices

• Use waiting rooms: Turn on waiting rooms in your Zoom settings so you can control who joins the meeting.
• Require passwords: Always set a password for your Zoom meetings.
• Limit Update button access: Only give administrators permission to see and use the Update button.
• Monitor access: Use the Roles tab in Page Builder to control which user groups can see pages with embedded meetings.

Download the Templates

Download the Zoom Templates (ZIP file)

The ZIP file contains two template files:

• Template 1 - Zoom Live Meeting: Use this template in Step 2 to create the Meeting Player.
• Template 2 - Update Zoom Meeting ID: Use this template in Step 5 to create the Update Button.

After downloading:

1. Extract the ZIP file to access the template files.
2. Open each template file in a text editor (like Notepad) to copy the code.
3. For Template 1, remember to replace the ZoomKey and ZoomSecret placeholder values with your actual Zoom credentials from Step 1.
4. For Template 2, remember to update the PROPERTY_ID value (near the top of the code) with your actual property ID after completing Step 5 Part C.
