File Field

Use a file field to allow users to upload and manage files in user profiles. You can specify the types of files allowed, the maximum file upload size, and the number of files a user can upload.

Properties

Property Description
Field label The field label appears at the top of the field. Start typing, and a list of matching text resources will appear. Select one to use or finish typing to create a new resource when the page is saved.
Number required The minimum number of files a user is required to provide.
Number permitted The maximum number of files a user can upload (typically 1). Enter 0 for unlimited uploads.
Permitted file types A list of file types allowed for upload. Provide a comma-separated list of acceptable file extensions (without the dot, e.g., "pdf, docx, png") to specify the file types allowed for upload. Leave blank to use the site-wide permitted file types or to allow all file types.
Maximum file upload size (MB) The maximum size of a single file allowed for upload, in megabytes.

Field Help

Text to help users understand what is expected when uploading a file. For example: "Please upload a document no larger than 10MB. Allowed formats: PDF, DOCX."

Advanced

Field Description
Custom CSS class A CSS class to append to the field to apply custom styling.
Show Label Check to show the field's label.
Create/Update Select whether the field should appear only when creating new content or only when updating existing content.

Choose the roles that can view this field.
