# REST API: Get Event Attendees

GET/api/events/\{EventID\}/attendees

Get the attendees of an event, filtered by RSVP type. The response is a plain list of event users, not the standard response with IsError, ResponseMessage, and ResponseData. It is an empty list when nothing matches.

| `IsInvited` | Boolean | NO | Query | Set to true to return only users who were invited to the event |
| `Keyword` | String | NO | Query | Search term to filter the event users by |
| `StartPage` | Integer | NO | Query | The page of results to return. Defaults to 1. A value that is not a whole number is ignored and the first page is returned. |
| `PageLength` | Integer | NO | Query | The number of results per page. When omitted, every attendee is returned. A value that is not a whole number is ignored. |
| `SpaceIDUsers` | Integer | NO | Query | Marks each returned attendee who is a member of this space with IsSpaceUser true. It does not filter the list; every attendee is still returned. |
| `SpaceAttendance` | String | NO | Query | Space-level attendance status to filter by, same values as Attendance. |
| `Instance` | String | NO | Query | Occurrence date \(ISO 8601\) of a recurring event. A value that is not a date answers 500. |
| `InstanceOption` | Integer | NO | Query | For a recurring event, which occurrences Instance refers to: 1 = All, 2 = Future, 3 = Single \(default\). |

## Error Handling

| Status Code | Likely Cause | Next Action |
| :--- | :--- | :--- |
| 400 Bad Request | EventID in the path is not an integer, or a value is not of the documented type. | Check the values. |
| 401 Unauthorized | A missing or invalid Bearer token answers 401 only on a site that allows members only; otherwise the call runs as a guest. | Check token validity. | 403 Forbidden | Not returned: the attendee list comes back without a check that answers 403. | Check the EventID if the list looks wrong. |

## Rate Limits

While Axero does not enforce hard rate limits by default, we recommend the following best practices to ensure optimal performance:

- **Sustained Request Rate:** Do not exceed 5 API calls per second
- **Sequential Processing:** Wait for each request to complete before sending the next in automated workflows
- **Concurrent Connections:** If parallel processing is required, limit to 3 or fewer simultaneous requests
- **Response Timeout:** Ensure API responses complete within 15 seconds during testing

Axero may implement temporary rate restrictions if excessive API usage affects overall site performance. For high-volume integrations, contact Axero to discuss your requirements.
