This widget is only available in version 5.2 and has been deprecated in versions 6.0 and above.

The What's New widget shows new content in a tabbed display. Keep users up-to-date on all new content with just one widget.

The What's New widget display the following content types:

  • Activity
  • Blogs
  • Forums
  • Articles
  • Events
  • Wikis
  • Videos
  • Photos

Properties

Property Description
Title The widget title appears at the top of the widget
Total items Max number of items to display

Template

What's New Template 

The What's New template displays a tabbed list of new activity and content in the top level community.

Advanced

Field Description
Icon Select an icon to display with the widget (Requires a template that uses {{IconCSSClass}})
Custom CSS class A CSS class to append to the widget
Name character length The number of characters in the content's title to display before appending "..."
Summary character length The number of characters in the content's summary to display before appending "..."
Show Header Check to show the widget's header, which includes the title
Show Footer Check to show the widget's footer
Hide Container Border Check to hide the widget's border
